    If you like lakes and you're in this part of Massachusetts you can check out Pecks Pond. This is a popular site for people from Pittsfield; after a long day outdoors The Yankee Suites Extended Stay is a splendid place to spend a night or two. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Pecks Pond; Turner Trail is a fine local trail; get yourself into a kayak and hit Konkapot Brook. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Taconic Skyline Trail, and as expected  
   Churchill Brook is a charming stream that is worth stopping at.
If you're here at Pecks Pond, do take a tour to Rice School. There's so much to do here at Pecks Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Bonnie Brae Cabins and Campsites is a great spot for that. If you come at the right time of year, Green River offers some wonderful whitewater, and what would winter be without some skiing at Bousquet. You truly should have a thing about Pecks Pond. Why
 
               not take a refreshing hike along the Brickhouse Mountain Trail, and you could always discover Pontoosuc School.
This is a great vicinity for people who like lakes. Onota Lake is a lake nearby, and if you need a place to stay Berkshire Inn is a pleasant choice. Through the summer months highs here at Pecks Pond reach the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Pecks Pond temperatures drop to the 10's. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Lower Pecks Pond Dam is a place that is right next door to Pecks Pond. Lakes are delightful; West Branch Housatonic River Reservoir is a lake that's near Pecks Pond.
Pecks Pond is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Hidden Valley Campgrounds is a splendid local campground. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Catamount are so inviting noone can resist, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Pontoosuc Lake Country Club is close at hand. The high level of precipitation makes Pecks Pond a reasonably wet location; June is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

this is a gREAt campground for people with children. They make you feel great about camping. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. I would recomended this campground 110 percent!!!!...alps is the most awesome place to camp.they offer everything and anything there. we saw what they did at the 4th of july and the kids loved it. I advice any parents that have have kids to take them there........they WON'T be disapointed...
