Otis Ridge has tremendous slopes and a friendly staff, and Dutch Iris Inn, The is a delightful place to get some rest. High temperatures at Parsons Pond throughout the long summer days are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Parsons Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Babcock Brook flows through this region, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody

| | but if it's for you then, we recommend Hubbard River. Parsons Pond gets a great deal of water; the wettest month of the year is frequently August, that's the one that rains the most, and January is the month with the least moisture. Go for a hike on the Link Trail, and Parsons Pond is not the only location close by, Borden Brook Reservoir is a close by lake. There are good sites to look at along the Richard Trail, and get your heart pumping on the great whitewater | |

of Farmington River - West Branch. Really nice skiing awaits you at Blandford, and if you need a place to stay Elm Motel is a good choice. And if that's not sufficient, there's a heap more to do right next door to Parsons Pond.
If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Borden Brook Reservoir Dam, and if you get bored of Parsons Pond you could also stop by close by Black Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the County Road
Trail is always a great adventure, and if you came for an overnight stay Laurel Ridge Camping Area is a tremendous location to camp. And if you're still looking for more outdoors entertaining things just keep reading. Camping is available at Twin Brook Farm And Camping Areas; a great vista of delightful Chestnut Hill is available.
