Paradise Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay The Hotel Northampton is a brilliant choice, and Paradise Pond is a glorious place to visit for more than one day, Rainbow Motel is a glorious place to camp nearby. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Paradise Pond, so little time. The sight of Baker Hill from Paradise Pond is stunning; Pine Grove Golf Club is a magnificent golf

| | course nearby. Paradise Pond typically gets much rain; May is when you get the most rain here, and January meanwhile is the driest month. At Paradise Pond during the months of summer highs are in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's while Paradise Pond overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. along the Richard Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Autumn Inn. Lakes are such serene spots, why not pop by Mill River Diversion Reservoir close to Paradise Pond; Windy Acres Campground is a great campground nearby. Why not
pop by Paradise Pond Dam while you're here, and paddling on Deerfield River is so much fun. Have a good hiking adventure along the Spring Trail; Hockanum Meadows is a magnificent location here at Paradise Pond. Mill River Reservoir
is a magnificent lake close to Paradise Pond, and perfect skiing awaits you at Blandford. If you want to hit the beach, Sandy Beach is close by. Neds Ditch is an out of the ordinary swamp right next door to Paradise Pond; whitewater
paddling is great on Connecticut River. This location is great, just check out all the cool stuff to do in the neighborhood of Paradise Pond. While you're here at Paradise Pond you can take a hike along the Link Trail, and you'll meet a lot of people from Springfield here.

Barton Cove Campground
 | 19 miles away I have been going there for over 20 years. It is a great place to take a family and if you are lucky, you will get to see the bald eagles (I actually got to see their first flight)....Lovely campground with huge, clean wooded tent sites. Some sites overlook the Connecticut River, and a few offer access to a swimming or fishing beach. There are some high cliffs on the river side of the campground, partly blocked with post and rail fencing. Small children may not respect the fences, so that should be considered when families with kids choose their site. Overall very enjoyable, and I look forward to returning soon.... |
