Why not stop by Otis Reservoir if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Otis Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, J and D Marina is a glorious place for that; a short spree to Otis Falls is always worthwhile. You can take a little tour to Otis Reservoir Dam if you're here at Otis Reservoir, and do take a hike on the County Road Trail. Larkum Hill is painless to spot from Otis Reservoir. Why

by lakes? Sure, Benton Pond is just a very short distance away. You could also go to Larkum Pond if you're here at Otis Reservoir; it's nearby, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Richard Trail. While you're here
at Otis Reservoir you can take a hike along the Link Trail, and why not a little side visit to Fall River. Otis Ridge is a nice local ski area, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Fall River. This place, Otis Reservoir,
it clearly has so much outdoors fun stuff. Lots of people from Pittsfield come to Otis Reservoir, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Farmington River - West Branch. Otis Reservoir gets
a great deal of water; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is January. Throughout the summer months at Otis Reservoir highs are ordinarily in the 80's. Summer night lows fall
down to the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Otis Reservoir.
