If you like lakes and you're in this part of Massachusetts you can check out Old Reservoir. Old Reservoir is a reasonably wet place typically with lots of rain; most of the rain falls during August, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Pine Ridge are so inviting noone can resist. Dry warm beds await you at Colonial Hotel, and here at Old Reservoir you can distinguish Allen Hill.

| | glorious campground nearby, and in close proximity to Old Reservoir you find a golf course called Quail Hollow Golf & Country Club. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Quaboag River, and as expected Dicks Brook flows through this vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. Barre Reservoir Dam is a location that is right next door to Old Reservoir, and folks from Worcester love to come here.

some skiing at Wachusett Mountain, and after a long day outdoors Gardner Super 8 Motel is a pleasant location to spend a night or two. Old Reservoir is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Peaceful Pines is a tremendous
place to camp nearby, and if you come at the right time of year, Millers River offers some good whitewater. The warmest time of the year at Old Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer
temperatures drop down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Old Reservoir dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights.
