If only every site had this much outdoors cool things, what a great earth it would be. Good hiking is available along the Spring Trail, and there are plenty of people from Springfield here. During the months of summer, highs generally are in the 70's at Northampton Reservoir Upper, and all through the night

for that, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Northampton Reservoir Upper; Richard Trail is a good local trail. If you get bored of Northampton Reservoir Upper, you could also stop by nearby Roaring Brook Reservoir. You'll
need more than a day to discover everything Northampton Reservoir Upper has to offer, you can camp at White Birch Campgrounds. Man, is there a lot of entertaining things to do next to Northampton Reservoir Upper. There are some wonderful
whitewater spots on Deerfield River, and Blandford has delightful slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Norton Hollow is a tremendous place to check out close by; Northampton Reservoir Upper Dam is not far at
all from Northampton Reservoir Upper. The high level of precipitation makes Northampton Reservoir Upper a pretty wet place; through the month of November you get the most rain around here; February meanwhile is the driest month.

Barton Cove Campground
 | 17 miles away I have been going there for over 20 years. It is a great place to take a family and if you are lucky, you will get to see the bald eagles (I actually got to see their first flight)....Lovely campground with huge, clean wooded tent sites. Some sites overlook the Connecticut River, and a few offer access to a swimming or fishing beach. There are some high cliffs on the river side of the campground, partly blocked with post and rail fencing. Small children may not respect the fences, so that should be considered when families with kids choose their site. Overall very enjoyable, and I look forward to returning soon.... |
