You can take a little trip to Congamond Lakes North Dike if you're here at North Pond, and why not head up to Blandford and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than North Pond, for       example Middle Pond; you can spend the day on the beach at Babbs Beach. So many enjoyable things to do at North Pond, so little time. Stay the night at Golden Acres Campground. Lakes? Sure, Congamond Lakes North Pond is around here. All through the summertime, highs usually are in the 80's at North Pond, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and night lows through the wintertime for                  North Pond tend to be in the 0's. A quick journey to Johnson Brook next to North Pond is a perfect idea, and don't leave North Pond without first going for a hike along the Link Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Huckleberry Mountain can be made out from North Pond; North Pond is a glorious place to visit for more than one day, Sodom Mountain Campground is a glorious place to camp nearby. A wonderful nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites WESTFIELD, and a round of golf at nearby Edgewood Golf Course is a nice way to kill some time. All the water falling down from the sky makes North Pond a wet place; the wettest month of the year is generally May, that's the one that rains the most while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Get drenched paddling on Farmington River, and the snow is pleasant at Ski Sundown. Just can't get enough of North Pond. Hiking is a popular thing to do around North Pond; Richard Trail is a good local trail; Conn Cove is not far at all. This lake is so wonderful.
