     The snow is wonderful at Wachusett Mountain, and Newton Pond is a site with many visitors from Worcester. Man, is there a load of fun things to do in the neighborhood of Newton Pond. Hiking along the Ross Trail is glorious fun, and if you're here, do take a spree to South Bay. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. If the weather is great here at Newton Pond, you can go for a hike along the Walkabout Trail, and a delightful close by hotel is Quality  
   Inn & Suites. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Munyan Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and Sewall Hill is lovely and can be seen from here.
Newton Pond gets a lot of water; most of the rain falls through November; September is when it's the driest. Summertime highs at Newton Pond typically tend to be in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are usually in
 
               the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Newton Pond. Swamps can be such exciting places, go to Slocum Meadow if you're here at Newton Pond, and after a long day outdoors Residence Inn Worcester is a good place to spend a night or two.
This lake is so wonderful. A journey to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is recommended. Not far from Newton Pond, you'll find Mud Pond which is a pretty lake; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because MT Pleasant Country Club is in the vicinity. If you come at the right time of year, Clear and Branch offers some magnificent whitewater; you can always enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Point Rok Beach.
There are other spots here than Newton Pond, for example Pout Pond. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Newton Pond has to offer, you can camp at Mass Health & Fitness. Glide down the rapids of Assabet River in a kayak. There's so much to do here at Newton Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Sutton Falls Camping Area is a great place for that. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Coal Mine Brook is a stream you can explore while here, and Mill Pond Dam has perfect water scenery.
