Pond temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Nash Pond temperatures
plunge to the 0's. Nash Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at
Barton Cove while you're here at Nash Pond, and there are good locations to explore along the Mount Olga Trail. Here at Nash Pond there are plenty of people from Springfield; you can spend the day on the beach at Greenfield Beach.
Deerfield River is a glorious whitewater spot near Nash Pond, and if you came for an overnight stay Mohawk Park is a delightful spot to camp.
