If you need a place to stay Super 8 Gardner is a great choice, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Pine Ridge is relatively near. Muddy Pond gets a lot of water; during August this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Millers River has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot nearby; not far from Muddy Pond you'll come across       Dean Pond which is a beautiful lake. This lake is so wonderful. Blood Swamp is a swamp near Muddy Pond; if you're visiting from Worcester, you won't be the only one. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Muddy Pond. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Peg Millpond; if you're a golfer then a glorious close by course is Bedrock Golf Club. In case you don’t have a problem getting wet,                  you can always go whitewater paddling on Quaboag River. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Muddy Pond has to offer, you can camp at Pine Acres Family Camping Resort. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Muddy Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Dean Campground is a wonderful place for that, and the skiing at Wachusett Mountain is good. Throughout the summertime months, highs typically are in the 80's at Muddy Pond. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's.
