If you need a place to stay Lee Super 8 Motel is a fine choice, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Farmington River - West Branch. During the long summer days here at Muddy Pond, high temperatures typically reach the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are generally in the 30's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Muddy Pond temperatures plunge to the 10's. This lake is so       wonderful. Bennett Brook is a stream that you may run into while you're here; if you came for an overnight stay Bissellville Campground is a wonderful location to camp. This place, Muddy Pond, it completely has so much outdoors fun stuff. Glide down the rapids of Westfield River - West Branch in a kayak; the sight of stunning Eames Hill is great. But wait, there's more to do near Muddy Pond. Muddy Pond is not far at all from Pittsfield. Camping is available                  at Summit Hill Campground, and a beautiful lake like Plunkett Reservoir is a pleasant place to explore. Benson Pond is a splendid lake right next door to Muddy Pond; do take a hike on the Thunderbolt Ski Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the great skiing at Catamount, and you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Circle Trail. Golf can be played at Bass Ridge Country Club, and dry warm beds await you at Pittsfield Travelodge. Muddy Pond is right by the Cheshire Harbor Trail, and skiing at Otis Ridge is one of those things you just ought to do.
