This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. There's magnificent hiking along the Beach Forest Trail. Yarmouth Campgrounds is a perfect local campground; if you need a place to stay Colonial House Inn and Restaurant is a fine choice. At Muddy Pond through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's, and       the nighttime is fairly cooler of course, frequently in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; during the dark hours in the winter at Muddy Pond temperatures dip to the 10's. That right there is a load already, but it continues; Muddy Pond has it all. Bass Creek is a good local stream, and swamps can be such exciting sites, explore Bass Hole Marshes if you're here at Muddy Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a nice close                  by course is Blue Rock Par 3 Golf Course, and a great nearby hotel is Holiday Vacation Condominiums. Muddy Pond is a quite wet place regularly with a good deal of precipitation; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Bass River Trailer Park is a good campground nearby, and Grays Beach is a beach nearby that you can stop by. Prospect Hill is a peak you can see from Muddy Pond, and while you're here, you could also pop by beautiful Miller Pond. You'll meet a lot of people from Barnstable Town here, and there's always Bass Hole to check out near Muddy Pond.
