Mud Ponds is a lake worth visiting. What would winter be without some skiing at Catamount; you obtain a great sight of Cone Hill from here. Don't leave Mud Ponds without first going for a hike along the Taconic Skyline Trail, and Konkapot Brook has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot close by. There's great hiking along the Wild Cat Trail, and why not have a look at Shaker Mill Pond Dam since you're here. If you need a place to stay A B&B in the Berkshires

| | is a nice choice, and hey, Gotta ski right? Bousquet is a pleasant place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. You could also take a look at Crane Lake since you're here at Mud Ponds; it's close by; Woodland Hills Campground is a glorious local campground. Fox Hill Camping Area is a great campground nearby; Stockbridge Country Inn is a pleasant location to get some rest. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the area near Mud Ponds | |

has to offer. Good hiking is available along the Brickhouse Mountain Trail; it's a good idea to have a look at Baldwin Brook. And that's not all you can do here at Mud Ponds. Paddling on Bash Bish Brook is so much fun. Through the
summertime highs here at Mud Ponds get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. During the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 30's; nighttime lows at Mud Ponds through the wintertime regularly drop into
the 10's. The annual rainfall here at Mud Ponds is about average; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. This is a popular place for folks from Pittsfield, and a lake nearby is Cranberry Pond.
