     Mud Ponds is always a pleasure to visit. Summertime highs at Mud Ponds regularly tend to be in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Mud Ponds. This lake is so wonderful. Mud Ponds is in the vicinity of Shaker Mill Pond Dam which is a picturesque spot certainly worth checking out, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Taconic Skyline Trail. This lake is  
   so wonderful. A lake nearby is Cranberry Pond, and A B&B in the Berkshires is a splendid place to get some rest.
Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! Mud Ponds is peerless! Cone Hill is clearly visible from Mud Ponds, and there's some flowing water close by, Baldwin Brook is a stream you can take a look at during your stay. From a rain point of view Mud Ponds is a quite normal place; most of the rain falls throughout July, and the driest of the
 
               months is February. There's whitewater on Konkapot Brook for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and a great site to camp here at Mud Ponds is Fox Hill Camping Area.
Mud Ponds is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Woodland Hills Campground is a tremendous local campground; at Mud Ponds you always meet someone from Pittsfield. All the outdoors fun things near Mud Ponds will keep you coming back many times. After a long day outdoors Stockbridge Country Inn is a good place to spend a night or two. Mud Ponds is not the only site nearby, Stockbridge Bowl is a nearby lake, and get your heart beating on the tremendous whitewater of Bash Bish Brook.
You can never get enough of the great skiing at Catamount; if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Wild Cat Trail. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Bousquet if you're here; going for a hike along the Brickhouse Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity.
