You can run the rapids of Konkapot Brook in close proximity to Mud Ponds; there are great locations to discover along the Taconic Skyline Trail. A great close by hotel is Stockbridge Country Inn; you can go for a hike on the Brickhouse Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Mud Ponds, for example Crane Lake, and if you need a spot to stay A B&B in the Berkshires is a pleasant choice. The annual precipitation here at Mud Ponds

Here at Mud Ponds you can distinguish Cone Hill, and not far from Mud Ponds you'll discover Cranberry Pond which is a pretty lake. What a spot this is for outdoors people. Mud Ponds is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Woodland Hills Campground is a magnificent local campground, and don't leave Mud Ponds without first going for a hike along the Wild Cat Trail. | |

For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Mud Ponds get into the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Mud Ponds. A pleasant
location for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Mud Ponds is Bash Bish Brook, and folks from Pittsfield love to come here. Mud Ponds truly is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. What would winter be without some skiing
at Catamount. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious place to camp here at Mud Ponds is Fox Hill Camping Area, and at Shaker Mill Pond Dam near Mud Ponds there are some out of the ordinary things to see. Take a little visit to Baldwin Brook while you're here at Mud Ponds, and hey, Gotta ski right? Bousquet is a great place to do that.
