What a nice lake Mud Pond is. Get soaked paddling on Clear and Branch, and the slopes of Wachusett Mountain are so inviting noone can resist. Coal Mine Brook flows through this area, and you can stay the night at Sutton Falls Camping Area. If only every site had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great earth it would be. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Slocum Meadow is right nearby, and Newton Pond Dam has good water scenery.

Do check out Green Hill Pond right next door to Mud Pond, it's a stunning lake, and there are plenty of people from Worcester here. This lake is so wonderful. Hermitage Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to, and if you haven’t been to Quinebaug & Shetucket
Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor, you should schedule some time for it while you're here. Paddling on Assabet River is so much fun, and there's good hiking along the Munyan Trail. Mud Pond is a glorious site to visit for more
than one day, Mass Health & Fitness is a glorious site to camp nearby, and if you need a site to stay Quality Inn & Suites is a great choice.
This lake is so wonderful. Here at Mud Pond you can see Sewall Hill, and don't leave
Mud Pond without first going for a hike along the Ross Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The Walkabout Trail offers hiking at its best, and in close proximity to Mud Pond you come across a golf course called MT Pleasant Country Club.
Mud Pond gets much water; the wettest month of the year is generally November, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is September.
