This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Wild Cat Trail is always a great adventure, and hey, Gotta ski right? Catamount is a nice place to do that. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. What would winter be without some skiing at Bousquet; Greenock Country Club is a golf course close by. This       lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Konkapot Brook is so much fun, and not far from here you can enjoy the trees of October Mountain State Forest. Now, you may feel that's plenty but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Mud Pond. Don't leave Mud Pond without first going for a hike along the Brickhouse Mountain Trail, and you're perhaps interested in lakes, Clapp Pond is one of those nearby. Go for a hike on the Turner Trail, and camping is available                  at Maple Glade Campground. You're sure to encounter some nice people from Pittsfield here, and if you need a place to stay Travelodge Pittsfield is a pleasant choice. Get soaked paddling on Westfield River - West Branch. Lakes are great; Sandwash Reservoir is a lake that's next to Mud Pond. Mud Pond gets much water; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. Through the warm months highs here at Mud Pond reach the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.
