Why not stop by Mud Pond if you're passing through these parts. If only every place had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great globe it would be. Sandwash Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and there's wonderful hiking along the Brickhouse Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Mud Pond, you could also pop by lovely Clapp Pond, and Mud Pond is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Bissellville Campground

| | is a great spot to camp nearby. If you're a golfer then a magnificent close by course is Greenock Country Club, and Maple Glade Campground is a great campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Pittsfield Travelodge; a delightful site for whitewater paddling is Westfield River - West Branch. Gotta ski! Catamount is a tremendous spot to do that, and don't leave Mud Pond without first going for a hike along the Wild Cat Trail. Man, | |

is there lots of cool stuff to do next to Mud Pond. Here at Mud Pond there are plenty of people from Pittsfield, and October Mountain State Forest is a great local forest. High temperatures at Mud Pond through the long summer days
are in the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. All through the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's while Mud Pond overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's. Good hiking is available
along the Turner Trail; get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Konkapot Brook. Mud Pond gets lots of water; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is February. Lee Super 8 Motel is a brilliant spot to get some rest, and wonderful scenery and brilliant skiing is what you get at Bousquet.
