Don't forget to take a wonderful little visit to Jacoby Brook, needless to say you could also pop by Richmond Pond while you're here; it's not far at all. Near Mud Pond you discover the Taconic Skyline Trail which is a delightful hiking trail, and whitewater paddling is great on Green River. | | recommend nearby Pontoosuc Lake Country Club; the skiing at Bousquet is nice. You'll meet a lot of people from Pittsfield here, and a great place to camp here at Mud Pond is Maple Glade Campground. Summertime highs at Mud Pond commonly tend to be in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. most of the rain falls throughout June; the driest month is February. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Mud Pond. Konkapot Brook has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby, and the top of The Cobble is
easily seen from Mud Pond. This lake is so wonderful. You might want to pay a visit to Pleasant Valley while you're here at Mud Pond, and if the weather is magnificent, you can go for a hike along the Brickhouse Mountain Trail.
Camping at Bonnie Brae Cabins and Campsites is always a great experience, and if you've had enough of Mud Pond, Shaker Reservoir is nearby. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Mud Pond. The Turner Trail
is a magnificent hiking trail right next door to Mud Pond, and after a long day outdoors Yankee Inn is a glorious place to spend a night or two.
