If you are in Berkshire county it's always a good idea to stop by Mud Pond. So much cool stuff to do at Mud Pond, so little time. | | Jacoby Brook since you're here at Mud Pond; a lake nearby is West Branch Housatonic River Reservoir. The high level of rain makes Mud Pond a quite wet place; most of the rain falls all through June, and February is when it's the driest. During the summertime months at Mud Pond temperatures are regularly in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Mud Pond. This lake is so wonderful. | |

You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Catamount if you're here, and since you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Pittsfield. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Yankee Inn is a wonderful
choice, and Maple Glade Campground is a great local campground. If you fancy a little side visit, try Pleasant Valley, and after a long day outdoors Ramada Limited Inn & Suites Pittsfield is a magnificent place to spend a night or
two. Onota Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore; don't leave Mud Pond without first going for a hike along the Brickhouse Mountain Trail. Just can't get enough of Mud Pond. The Taconic Skyline Trail offers hiking at its
best; what would winter be without some skiing at Bousquet. The view of The Cobble from Mud Pond is picturesque, and there's magnificent hiking along the Turner Trail.
