It's always fun to stop by Mud Pond. Lots of rain falls at Mud Pond; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Pontoosuc Lake Country Club, and if you came for an overnight stay Maple Glade Campground is a perfect site to camp. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Catamount are so inviting noone can resist, and Pleasant Valley is also

| | a wonderful site to discover. Now, you may think that's a heap but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Mud Pond. There's whitewater on Green River for all you adrenaline junkies, and here at Mud Pond you can see The Cobble. Throughout the summer highs here at Mud Pond get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; nighttime lows at Mud Pond through the wintertime usually sink | |

into the 10's. Going for a hike on the Turner Trail is always a wonderful adventure; camping is available at Bonnie Brae Cabins and Campsites. This lake is so wonderful. There are tremendous locations to discover along the Taconic
Skyline Trail; you'll perhaps meet some folks from Pittsfield here. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Konkapot Brook, and if you need a
site to stay Yankee Inn is a splendid choice. Near Mud Pond you hit upon the Brickhouse Mountain Trail which is a perfect hiking trail, and dry warm beds await you at Ramada Limited Inn & Suites Pittsfield. Take a little tour
to Jacoby Brook since you're here at Mud Pond, and a lovely lake like Richmond Pond is a perfect site to explore. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Bousquet, and you'll discover a pretty lake called Shaker Reservoir.
