     Blandford is a very popular ski area close by, and at Mountain Park Reservoir you can distinguish Cedar Knob. Just can't get enough of Mountain Park Reservoir. Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Holyoke is a wonderful site to get some rest; if you come at the right time of year, Connecticut River offers some tremendous whitewater. Everybody loves Hockanum Meadows; if you need a spot to stay Days Inn Holyoke is a tremendous choice. But wait, there's more to do in  
   the neighborhood of Mountain Park Reservoir. There are other locations here than Mountain Park Reservoir, for example Mount Tom Reservoir, and there are good places to explore along the Richard Trail.
Whiting Street Reservoir is a wonderful lake next to Mountain Park Reservoir, and a nice site to camp here at Mountain Park Reservoir is Rainbow Motel. The warmest time of the year at Mountain Park Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 80's. For the
 
               duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are regularly in the 30's; nighttime lows at Mountain Park Reservoir throughout the winter usually plunge into the 0's. There are some fine whitewater spots on Little River, and if you're a golfer then a wonderful close by course is Orchards Golf Course Superintendant.
Camping at Windy Acres Campground is always a magnificent experience, and Mountain Park Reservoir lays in the shadow of the Mount Tom Range. This lake is so wonderful. The scenery at Whiting Street Pond Dam next to Mountain Park Reservoir is delightful, and you should beyond doubt stop by gorgeous Sandy Beach while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Take a side spree to Brickyard Brook, and Mountain Park Reservoir is not far at all from Springfield.
The high level of precipitation makes Mountain Park Reservoir a rather wet site; the month with most of the rain is May while January is ordinarily the driest month. Going for a hike on the Link Trail is always a great adventure, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Berkshire East. This lake is so wonderful. Near Mountain Park Reservoir you locate the Spring Trail which is a delightful hiking trail.

My Mother was born in Easthampton-Wanat house near pond-Williston Ave. I am a former member of citizens restoring Congamond. There used to be a lot of fish - but now only bluegills -Millfoil is one of invasive weeds in pond. Pond over years has a lot of garbage thrown in it-used to swim there- would not dare now especially where beach used to be....

The Holyoke Dam is between the put-in and take-out.  The dam is roughly halfway between the two bridges and it cannot be paddled....

This pond is known by everyone as Puffer's pond and I've never heard it called this before. In the summer there are a lot of swimmers, but it makes good early morning fishing....
