Many people like to go to Morewood Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Brickhouse Mountain Trail, needless to say you could also check out West Branch Housatonic River Reservoir while you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Konkapot Brook right next door to Morewood Lake, and in all probability you're looking for nearby lakes? and skiing at Catamount is one of those things you just should do. Rice School is close by and always great to stop by, and after a long day outdoors Berkshire Inn is a great location to spend a night or two.
This lake is so wonderful.
Camping at Bonnie Brae Cabins and Campsites is always a glorious experience, and a tremendous nearby hotel is The Yankee Suites Extended Stay. Getting to East Branch Housatonic River from Morewood Lake is painless; Morewood Lake is
right by the Taconic Skyline Trail. A great deal of rainfall falls at Morewood Lake; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
Camping is available at Maple Glade
Campground, and you can never get enough of the pleasant skiing at Bousquet. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Morewood Lake, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's; overnight lows at Morewood Lake all through the wintertime usually descend into the 10's.
