If you want to hit the beach, Lamberts Cove Beach is in the neighborhood, and swamps are out of the ordinary spots and Gate of Canso close to Mink Pond is no exception. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Inn on the Square, also Sheep Pen Harbor is worth stopping at while you're here. Gansett Point is close to Mink Pond and is a nice spot to stop at; Coolfont Resort is a great campground nearby. Mink Pond is a pretty
wet place mostly with a great deal of rainfall; November is the wettest month with most rain; June meanwhile is the driest month. So many exciting things to do here at Mink Pond, too magnificent to be true. A lake close by is Mill
Pond, and a round of golf at nearby Paul Harney Golf Course is a delightful way to kill some time.

It's a cool campground to go to but if you like to stay out late stay away because they come around at like ten and make everyone go bad to their own camp sites and you can't stay at that play ground. And if you don't go back to your campsite when they make their second rounds the rangers chase you on golf carts. Which is pretty fun because you have to out run them. But everything else is pretty chill.... |

I was interested in a rental on Widgeon Pond. I stayed there many years ago and loved it....I have a cottage on Widgeon Pond. Nice, quiet and relaxing pond with reasonable fishing. Swimming is nice but sometimes the water is really high, almost to the extent where there is no beach at all. Some people have small parties or gatherings, but there aren't any loud parties. Very calming place to chill out.... |
