Mill Pond is always a pleasure to visit. This place, Mill Pond, it truly has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Mystic Pond is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and if you need a location to stay Springhill Suites By Marriott Boston/Andover is a delightful choice. A quick visit to Bartlett Brook near Mill Pond is a splendid idea, and one of the overriding highlights of the surroundings of Mill Pond is Meetinghouse Hill. near. This lake is so wonderful. Mill Pond is a place with many visitors from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy; if you have time, Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area is a national park worth going to. Camping is available at
Escambuit Campground, and while you're here, you could also stop by striking Ballard Pond. From a rain point of view Mill Pond is a relatively normal place; the month with most of the rain is November, and February is the month with
the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful place for whitewater paddling close to Mill Pond is Concord River, and Residence Inn By Marriott Boston Andover is a perfect location to get some rest.

Locust Pond
 | 14 miles away 1 PHOTO Locust Pond is a lake that was formed in 1954 by the creation of the Locust Pond Dam on Locust Brook, which flows from the Locust Pond to the larger Merrimack River. Locust Pond is considered a lake because Mass Regs (310 CMR 10.04) state that a lake is ?any open body of fresh water with a surface area of ten acres or more, and shall include great ponds. The site is bordered by Locust Avenue and light residential development to the northwest, and Route 3 to the southwest. The other half of the perimeter is bordered by dense development. The pond is mostly open water with no emergent marsh development. The upland is all forested. The habitat quality of this site is limited by the development surrounding it, however, it should provide at least transient habitat for aquatic mammals such as beaver, otter, and mink, and many of the upland mammals and migratory songbirds of forested habitats.... |
