Mill Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. There is a splendid hiking trail near Mill Pond called the Wild Cat Trail, and whitewater paddling is perfect on Housatonic River. This lake is so wonderful. Bears Den is easy to spot from Mill Pond, and a day on the slopes of Catamount is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful. From a rain point of view Mill Pond is a pretty common location; the wettest month of the year is typically May, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. If the weather is magnificent here at Mill Pond, you can go for a hike along the Elbow Trail; why not camp at Camp Half Moon if you're here at Mill Pond. Camp Sites is a great local campground; get drenched paddling on Bash Bish Brook. This lake is so wonderful. There are swamps here too; Barnum Street Swamp is around here, and after a long day outdoors Great Barrington Days Inn is
a good spot to spend a night or two. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff near Mill Pond. If you get bored of Mill Pond, you could also stop at nearby Fawn Lake, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Indian
Trail. What a place this is for outdoors folks. There's always Mill Pond Dam to have a look at near Mill Pond, and don’t forget to go to Sheffield Plain since you're here at Mill Pond. You'll meet a lot of folks from Pittsfield here;
