Camp Finberg is a great local campground, and most likely you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Mount Hope Pond is just a very short distance away. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express SWANSEA, and not far from Milford Pond you acquire some wonderful water scenery at Milford Pond Dam. This lake is so wonderful. the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 10's for Milford Pond. Beaches are good; and Brayton Point Beach in close proximity to Milford Pond is no exception, and enjoy a round of golf at Middlebrook Country Club.

| Echo Lake is the best fishing lake in northern R.I. It has large mouth bass, pike, pickeral, and several varieties of pan fish. I have been fishing this lake for 45 years and it still produces some real fine fish....Echo is a nice pond. I go all the time and always catch something. The biggest i caught was a 6.5 pound large mouth on a watermelon colored lizard. Good place for bass....Pond is mostly made up of kivers and mabey a few striped bass nothing orn thsn 2.5 pounds. Takes about an hour, fish are extremly smart and picky. You are better off with brickyard which has fish up to 40 pounds and trout... |
