In Massachusetts there are many beautiful lakes, McCusker Pond is one of them. The Westin Waltham-Boston is a nice site to get some rest, and Camp Micah is a splendid local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Charles River, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Bradford. Pond through the warm months highs are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's; nighttime lows at McCusker Pond during the winter commonly descend into the 10's.
