Hit the beach if you want, Horse Race is practically right here, and a pleasant close by hotel is Howard Johnson. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Deerfield
River, and Cabot Station Power Plant Dam has great water scenery. Enjoy a round of golf at Country Club of Greenfield not far from Maynard Pond, and Connecticut River Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could stop at.
Life's too
short to enjoy all the entertaining things near Maynard Pond. Maynard Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Barton Cove is a good local campground, and going for a hike on the Mount Olga Trail is always a perfect adventure.
This lake is so wonderful. Summertime highs at Maynard Pond typically tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and throughout
the dark hours in the wintertime at Maynard Pond temperatures plunge to the 0's.
Maynard Pond is a rather wet place commonly with a great deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls during November; February is when it's the driest.
