Custom Search     Marshall Pond     Marshall Pond was named after Cllinton Marshall who was the Superintendent of the North Works of American Steel andWire Company which wqas olcated on Groove Street in Worcester. Clinton Marshall was my fathers Uncle. Marshal Pond was located West of Dryden St. East of Grove St. and South of millbrook St. and North of the Rural Cemetary. It was frequently habited by migratory birds and was used for ice skating in the winter time. Unfortunately it was filled     in to construct Gold Star Blvd. and build car dealerships and Wrightliine Co. If the wetlands act was enforced earlier it would still be a pond for migratory birds. The South Works of American Steel and Wire was located in Quinsigamond Village. It has closed down and is now being renovated to house the largest Super Wal Mart in the World. Says Henry B.
