Lots of folks from Springfield come to Lower Pond; dry warm beds await you at Ivory Creek Bed And Breakfast. On a pleasant day at Lower Pond you can take a hike along the Spring Trail. There's so much to do here at Lower Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Windy Acres Campground is a pleasant site for that. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Millers       River - Lower, and going for a hike on the Richard Trail is always a tremendous adventure. The peak of Cold Hill can be made out from Lower Pond; Mt Holyoke College Lower Pond Dam has good water scenery. If only every site had this much outdoors exciting stuff, what a great globe it would be. South Plains is a delightful location to stretch your legs a bit, and if you get bored of Lower Pond you could also stop at nearby Stony Brook Reservoir. There is                  a fine hiking trail next to Lower Pond called the Link Trail, and Upper Pond is a nearby lake that you could check out. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a pleasant nearby course is Orchards Golf Course Superintendant, and Connecticut River is a magnificent whitewater spot close by. Through the summer, highs typically are in the 70's at Lower Pond, and the overnight is a tad chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Lower Pond. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the wonderful skiing at Blandford; Lower Pond is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Rainbow Motel is a brilliant local campground. If you want to hit the beach, Sandy Beach is around here. And if that's not enough, there's a load more to do close to Lower Pond. Looking for some flowing water? Try Batchelor Brook, and if you need a spot to stay Clarion Hotel And Conference Center is a fine choice.
