If you are traveling by, why not stop by Lower Pond. Lower Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is August. There's so much to do here at Lower Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Powow Cove Campground is a splendid location for that, and Dead Hill is clearly visible from Lower Pond. During the summer highs here at Lower Pond get into the 80's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lower Pond. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a splendid time here at Lower Pond. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Bradford is close to Lower Pond, and there's always Johnson Creek Dam At Salem Street to
go to next to Lower Pond. You'll meet a lot of folks from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy here, and Concord River has a splendid whitewater paddling spot nearby. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Sorag Pond is right nearby, and Bradford
Country Club is a golf course close by.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff at Lower Pond. Looking for some flowing water? Try Johnson Creek; Comfort Suites Haverhill is a good spot to get some
rest. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Blue Hills is nice, and do go to Lake Saltonstall, it's a beautiful lake.
