This is a great neighborhood for folks who like lakes. Elders Pond is a lake in the neighborhood; The Reservoir Dam has brilliant water scenery. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites MIDDLEBORO RAYNHAM is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Green Point is quite close to Loon Pond, and if you're here, you could stop by Bates Brook. Summertime highs at Loon Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 80's. Throughout

Cape Cod KOA is a wonderful campground nearby. Loon Pond is a pleasant place to visit for more than one day, Plymouth Rock Koa Kampground is a pleasant place to camp nearby, and you should undeniably stop by King Phillips Lookout
while you're here. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Blue Hills is right next door to Loon Pond, and golf can be played at Poquoy Brook Golf Club. Loon Pond gets a large amount of water; November is when you get the most rain here, and July is when it's the driest.

 | 17 miles away Ellis Haven was my summer vacation every year from 1957 to 1967. I'm 58 years old now and my best memories are of Ellis Haven. Looks like it's still a beautiful place to take a vacation....I have been going to Ellis Haven for 50 years. It is definately one of my favorite campgrounds.  | 18 miles away I was interested in a rental on Widgeon Pond. I stayed there many years ago and loved it....I have a cottage on Widgeon Pond. Nice, quiet and relaxing pond with reasonable fishing. Swimming is nice but sometimes the water is really high, almost to the extent where there is no beach at all. Some people have small parties or gatherings, but there aren't any loud parties. Very calming place to chill out.... |
