Why not camp at Maurice's Campground if you're here at Long Pond; a day at Cahoon Hollow Beach is time well spent. A magnificent close by hotel is Captains Quarters Motel, and playing golf is lots of fun at Chequessett Yacht & Country Club. Now, you may imagine that's loads but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Long Pond. After a long day outdoors       Four Points By Sheraton Eastham Cape Cod is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two; the sight of pretty Cannon Hill is perfect. All through the summertime, highs mostly are in the 70's at Long Pond. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while Long Pond night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. Beaches are great; and Newcomb Hollow Beach next to Long                  Pond is no exception, and if you get bored of Long Pond you could also take a look at close by Turtle Pond. Swamps are exciting locations and Indian Neck Marshes near Long Pond is no exception; if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Great Island Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. While you're here at Long Pond you can take a hike along the Pamet Cranberry Bog Trail, and don't forget to take a wonderful little spree to Blackfish Creek. The Buttonbush Trail is a great hiking trail in the neighborhood of Long Pond. Lots of people from Barnstable Town come to Long Pond, and if you came for an overnight stay Paine's Campground is a great place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. While staying at Long Pond you could always look at Fox Bottom, and of course, all our national parks are great places to visit and Cape Cod National Seashore is no exception. Long Pond is a wet spot that gets a lot of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally November, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is July.
