This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Red Maple Swamp Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and if time allows, Cape Cod National Seashore is a national park worth visiting. Take a hike on the Great Island Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Long Pond has to offer, you can camp at Bass River Trailer Park. During the summer months highs here at Long Pond get into       the 70's, and the night is quite colder of course, ordinarily in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Long Pond. Be careful coming to Long Pond, you might not ever wanna go back home again. A spree to Davis Beach near Long Pond is always a great idea, and after a long day outdoors Beach N Towne Motel is a great place to spend a night or two. There's just no way anyone can                  get bored here at Long Pond. Flax Pond is a tremendous lake right next door to Long Pond, and this is a popular site for people from Barnstable Town. If you're here, you might as well go to Dogfish Bar, and Blue Rock Par 3 Golf Course is a perfect golf course close by. Hiking along the Buttonbush Trail is perfect fun. Lakes? Sure, James Pond is close by. This lake is so wonderful. If you want to hit the beach, Parkers River Beach is in the neighborhood. There's so much to do here at Long Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Grindell's Ocean View Park is a perfect site for that. A good close by hotel is Clarion Inn South Yarmouth, and swing by Bass River it's a great place to pop by. A journey to Bass River Beach in close proximity to Long Pond is always a brilliant idea, and a glorious sight of beautiful German hill is available.
