Do stop by Lily Pond while you're in this part of Massachusetts. After a long day outdoors Windmill Motel is a wonderful place to spend a night or two, and camping is available at Purple Meadow Campground. Take a side journey to Bailey Brook, and the skiing at Living Memorial Park is great. If you adore the outdoors, you'll fancy Lily Pond. Sawyer Pond is a delightful lake near Lily Pond, and there are some great whitewater spots on Ashuelot River.

Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Millers River - Lower, and at Lily Pond you always meet someone from Keene. The warmest time of the year at Lily Pond comes with high temperatures
in the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Lily Pond drop into the 0's.
Lily Pond gets a great
deal of water; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lily Pond; Sunset Trail is a glorious local trail;
at Lily Pond you can see Mount Hermon. There's tremendous hiking along the Sunrise Trail, and you might also want to pay a visit to Hells Kitchen if you're here at Lily Pond.
