Popplestone Beach is close to Lily Pond if you're in a beach type of mood, and Biskie Head is close at hand and always tremendous to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. On a great day it's a wonderful idea to spend the day at Gray Beach, and if you come at the right time of year, Cohasset Tidal Rip offers some good whitewater. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Dolliver Beach Neck Marshes is right nearby; close by you find Rafes Chasm which is a magnificent

| | site to visit. A lot of rain falls at Lily Pond; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is August. If you need a location to stay Ocean View Inn and Resort is a wonderful choice, and unsurprisingly, this is a magnificent region for folks who like lakes, Dykes Pond is a lake in the neighborhood. to visit for more than one day, Henry's Resort Motel is a great place to camp nearby. After a long day outdoors Best Western Bass Rocks Ocean Inn is a brilliant place to spend a night or two; Cape Ann Camp Site is a good local campground.
And that's not all you can do here at Lily Pond. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Atlantic Ocean. Don't forget to take a pleasant little trip to Little River, and the view of delightful Mount Ann is great. You just can't
imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the area in close proximity to Lily Pond has to offer. A round of golf at nearby Bass Rocks Golf Club is a fine way to kill some time, and almost certainly you're looking for close by
lakes? Sure, Wallace Pond is just a very short distance away. At Lily Pond through the summertime months highs are in the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Through the winter highs are mostly in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Lily Pond.

When the dam is lowered dropping water level 3-4 feet it is nearly impossible to launch our little john boat and for the kids to have enough water to fish in and make our way around the reservoir.
