After a long day outdoors Quality Inn & Suites is a magnificent place to spend a night or two; go to close by Bryant Swamp. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Hardys Pond; everyone nearby loves skiing at Blue Hills. During the warm days of summer at Lexington Reservoir highs are usually in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. High temperatures through

You can run the rapids of Concord River right next door to Lexington Reservoir, and the panoramas at Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area will blow your mind. is a must, and Lexington Golf Club is a fine golf course nearby. Why not take a look at Lexington Reservoir Dam while you're here, and a tremendous site to camp here at Lexington Reservoir is Camp Cedar. This lake is so wonderful.
A nice location like Parker Meadow here at Lexington Reservoir is too good to miss, and you're sure to stumble upon some smiling folks from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy here. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Lexington
Reservoir. Here at Lexington Reservoir you can make out Belfry Hill, and hey, Gotta ski right? Bradford is a magnificent place to do that. If you need a place to stay BOSTONWALTHAM HILTON GARDEN INN is a fine choice, and camping at
Camp Micah is always a good experience. Lexington Reservoir is a wet location that gets much rainfall; the month with most of the rain is November while February is ordinarily the driest month. Lakes are perfect; Lost Pond is
a lake that's in close proximity to Lexington Reservoir, and get your heart beating on the tremendous whitewater of Charles River.

Lake Cochichewick
 | 17 miles away Lake Cochichewick formerly known as Great Pond, is located near the inersections of rt 125 and Great Pond Road in North Andover MA. The lake is a little over 200 acres and long and narrow but widens quite a bit in the middle. The average depth near in the midde is about 40ft however the lake can reach depths of up to 60ft. The lake is a protected reservoir so fishing and boating are by town permit only. Swimming and gas moters are prohibited. Large and small mouth bass are in decent numbers as well as perch, pickerel, sunfish, also there is Northern Pike around but few have hooked up one in the summer season. Mercury level are fairly high so it is recomended to limit the consumption of fish to 1 meal a month. Most of the locals you will meet on the lake are all artificial bait, catch and release fisherman.... |

 | 18 miles away 1 PHOTO Locust Pond is a lake that was formed in 1954 by the creation of the Locust Pond Dam on Locust Brook, which flows from the Locust Pond to the larger Merrimack River. Locust Pond is considered a lake because Mass Regs (310 CMR 10.04) state that a lake is ?any open body of fresh water with a surface area of ten acres or more, and shall include great ponds. The site is bordered by Locust Avenue and light residential development to the northwest, and Route 3 to the southwest. The other half of the perimeter is bordered by dense development. The pond is mostly open water with no emergent marsh development. The upland is all forested. The habitat quality of this site is limited by the development surrounding it, however, it should provide at least transient habitat for aquatic mammals such as beaver, otter, and mink, and many of the upland mammals and migratory songbirds of forested habitats.... |
