     Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Quaboag River, and Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is one of the destinations that are brilliant to have a look at nearby. At Lensdale Pond through the summer highs are in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lensdale Pond. If you need a location to stay Comfort  
   Inn & Suites Colonial is a great choice. Lensdale Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Charlton Applewood Campgrounds is a great local campground, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Border Trail.
Having a glorious time at Lensdale Pond is uncomplicated. Cohasse Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at, and close to Lensdale Pond you find a golf course called Royal Oaks Country Club. So much exciting
 
               stuff in close proximity to Lensdale Pond, simply amazing. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Pine Ridge; the Munyan Trail is a magnificent hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Passport Inn - Sturbridge, and this is a popular place for people from Willimantic.
You can run the rapids of Natchaug River right next door to Lensdale Pond, and there are other sites here than Lensdale Pond, for example Carpenter Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Lensdale Pond you obtain some delightful water scenery at Lensdale Pond Dam. Lakes? Sure, Quinebaug River Reservoir is close at hand. Camping at Manna Campground is always a good experience, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Walkabout Trail.
Lots of rainfall falls at Lensdale Pond; through the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. The summit of Lebanon Hill can be distinguished from Lensdale Pond; Woodstock Town Beach is a pretty beach to go to.
