Laurel Lake gets lots of water; during the month of May you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Laurel Lake you will meet lots of people from close by Keene, and after a long day outdoors Grand Summit Hotel is a good location to spend a night or two. Laurel       Lake truly is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. Laurel Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Wagonwheel Campground is a good place to camp nearby, and Erving State Forest is worth going to. Near Laurel Lake you discover the Sunrise Trail which is a great hiking trail; if you come at the right time of year, Millers River offers some wonderful whitewater. Skiing at Living Memorial Park is one of those things you just ought to do;                  a delightful close by hotel is University Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. Wagon wheel Camping Area is a brilliant local campground, and the peak of Chestnut Hill can be distinguished from Laurel Lake. Float down the rapids of Ashuelot River in a kayak, and don't miss out on a perfect swamp; Black Swamp is right here at Laurel Lake. What a location this is for outdoors people. Laurel Lake is not the only place nearby, Delvas Pond is a nearby lake, and not far from Laurel Lake you acquire some glorious water scenery at Laurel Lake Dam. Through the months of summer, highs frequently are in the 80's at Laurel Lake, and the night is somewhat colder of course, generally in the 50's.
