If you like skiing, you're in luck; Pine Ridge is near Lake Mattawa, and not far from Lake Mattawa you obtain some great water scenery at Lake Mattawa North Outlet Dam. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Millers River, and Lakeridge Campground is a tremendous campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A trip to The Bears Den is always fun, and if you       need a site to stay University Lodge is a great choice. For the duration of the months of summer highs here at Lake Mattawa get into the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Lake Mattawa temperatures drop to the 0's. Lake Mattawa commonly gets a large amount of rainfall; the month with most of the rain                  is May, and February is when it's the driest. While you're here at Lake Mattawa, you could also visit wonderful Woods Ice Pond, and a quick visit to Coolidge Brook is absolutely a brilliant idea. There's whitewater on Ashuelot River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and do have a look at Millers River Reservoir, it's a wonderful lake. While you're here at Lake Mattawa you will meet lots of folks from close by Keene, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Coolidge Swamp is right nearby. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at Lake Mattawa.
