    It's always fun to stop by Lake Garfield. This lake is so wonderful. Lee Hotel is a glorious spot to get some rest; Lake Garfield is a splendid place to camp, Maple Glade Campground is a splendid place. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. A large amount of precipitation falls at Lake Garfield; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
Whitewater paddling is not for everybody
 
   but if it's for you then we recommend Konkapot Brook, and Lake Garfield is not far at all from Pittsfield. Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Lake Garfield. Do go to Lake Garfield Dam if you're here at Lake Garfield; going for a hike on the Elbow Trail is always a pleasant adventure. Camp Brook is a pleasant local stream, and close by you discover the Wild Cat Trail which is a nice hiking trail.
This lake
 
               is so wonderful. A wonderful lake like Palmer Pond close to Lake Garfield is a good site to pop by, and if you need a site to stay Old Inn On the Green is a brilliant choice. The skiing at Catamount is great, and there are brilliant sites to look at along the Turner Trail. Get your heart pumping on the perfect whitewater of Farmington River - West Branch; a day on the slopes of Ski Butternut is just what you need.
The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Lake Garfield, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lake Garfield are in the 10's. The summit of Halls Hill can be seen from Lake Garfield; Camp Overflow is a glorious campground here.
