Camp Micah is a glorious campground nearby, and you can run the rapids of Charles River. The high level of precipitation makes Judkins Pond a quite wet place; November is when you get the most rain here while August is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You'll meet a lot of folks from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy here; after a long day outdoors Best Western New Englander is a glorious place to spend a night or two. If you have a thing about the

Swamps are out of the ordinary places and Turkey Swamp close to Judkins Pond is no exception, and a range like the Middlesex Fells is always picturesque. are so inviting noone can resist, and Concord River is a fine whitewater spot close by. So many amusing things to do here at Judkins Pond, too glorious to be true. It's a fine idea to have a look at Aberjona River, it's in the
neighborhood of Judkins Pond; if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Woburn is a brilliant choice. Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area is one of the destinations near Judkins Pond that are nice to go to, and a pleasant
vista of beautiful Andrews Hill is available. This lake is so wonderful. Camp Cedar is a tremendous local campground; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Stoneham Oaks Golf Course is around here. Gotta ski! Bradford
is a perfect place to do that. For the period of the warmest time of the year highs here at Judkins Pond get into the 80's while overnight lows are frequently in the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Judkins Pond.

Lake Cochichewick
 | 12 miles away Lake Cochichewick formerly known as Great Pond, is located near the inersections of rt 125 and Great Pond Road in North Andover MA. The lake is a little over 200 acres and long and narrow but widens quite a bit in the middle. The average depth near in the midde is about 40ft however the lake can reach depths of up to 60ft. The lake is a protected reservoir so fishing and boating are by town permit only. Swimming and gas moters are prohibited. Large and small mouth bass are in decent numbers as well as perch, pickerel, sunfish, also there is Northern Pike around but few have hooked up one in the summer season. Mercury level are fairly high so it is recomended to limit the consumption of fish to 1 meal a month. Most of the locals you will meet on the lake are all artificial bait, catch and release fisherman.... |
