You could also pop by Lake Sal since you're here at Lake Jones; it's nearby, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Pine Ridge is pretty near. What a location this is for outdoors people. Dry warm beds await you at Colonial Hotel, and near Lake Jones you come across a golf course called Winchendon Country Club. Lake Jones gets a typical amount       of rain; most of the rain falls during May, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Woodemere Park Campground is a great campground nearby; why not take a refreshing hike along the Parker Trail. The scenery at Lake Monomonac Dam near Lake Jones is pretty, and Lake Jones is right by the White Dot Trail. Get soaked paddling on Contoocook River; if you came for an overnight stay Howe's Camping is a wonderful place to camp. All                  through the long summer days at Lake Jones highs are frequently in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Lake Jones. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff close to Lake Jones. A day on the slopes of Wachusett Mountain is just what you need; get yourself into a kayak and hit Millers River. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Jones; Harling Trail is a great local trail; a spree to Coot Bay is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes?
