Dam in the vicinity of Jerrys Pond is wonderful, and Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area is a very perfect spot to visit. Fresh Pond is a splendid lake next to Jerrys Pond, and why not a little side spree to Alewife
Brook. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is good on Concord River; Jerrys Pond is a place with many visitors from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy. Throughout the summertime months at Jerrys Pond highs are regularly in the 80's.
When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 30's while Jerrys Pond overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. Jerrys Pond
sees pretty high levels of rainfall; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is August. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Blue Hills; if you need a location to stay Best Western Hotel Tria is a perfect choice.

Lake Cochichewick
 | 15 miles away Lake Cochichewick formerly known as Great Pond, is located near the inersections of rt 125 and Great Pond Road in North Andover MA. The lake is a little over 200 acres and long and narrow but widens quite a bit in the middle. The average depth near in the midde is about 40ft however the lake can reach depths of up to 60ft. The lake is a protected reservoir so fishing and boating are by town permit only. Swimming and gas moters are prohibited. Large and small mouth bass are in decent numbers as well as perch, pickerel, sunfish, also there is Northern Pike around but few have hooked up one in the summer season. Mercury level are fairly high so it is recomended to limit the consumption of fish to 1 meal a month. Most of the locals you will meet on the lake are all artificial bait, catch and release fisherman.... |
