The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to James Pond, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. During the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 30's; nighttime lows at James Pond through the wintertime ordinarily       descend into the 10's. Parkers River Beach is in close proximity to James Pond and is a wonderful beach to visit, and Davis Beach is nearby and always fine to go to. This lake is so wonderful. A day at charming Bass River Beach close to James Pond is a splendid thing to do, and if you came for an overnight stay Grindell's Ocean View Park is a perfect place to camp. If you need a place to stay Clarion Inn South Yarmouth is a splendid choice; don't leave James                  Pond without first going for a hike along the Red Maple Swamp Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Bass River is a fine local stream; you can go for a hike on the Buttonbush Trail. You're probably into lakes, Crowell Pond is one of those close by, and Dogfish Bar is also a brilliant spot to look at.
