There are other spots here than Huntington Reservoir, for example Cochran Pond, and why not camp at Beartown State Forest since you're here at Huntington Reservoir. Near Huntington Reservoir you discover the Spring Trail which is a nice hiking trail; Blandford is a delightful local ski area. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful close by hotel is Elm Motel, and get covered with water paddling on Westfield River - North       Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Westfield River - West Branch is so much fun, and why not take a little spree to Cold Brook while you're here. All through the warm months here at Huntington Reservoir, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Huntington Reservoir temperatures fall to the 10's. Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff                  to do are truly plentiful here at Huntington Reservoir. Going for a hike on the Richard Trail is always a fine adventure, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites WESTFIELD is a fine spot to spend a night or two. Everybody close by loves skiing at Otis Ridge. Lakes are such serene places, why not stop by Black Brook Reservoir close to Huntington Reservoir, and a delightful place to camp here at Huntington Reservoir is Laurel Ridge Camping Area. There are great locations to explore along the Link Trail, and at Huntington Reservoir you can make out Great Moose Hill.
