Lots of folks from Pittsfield come to Housatonic River Reservoir, and camping at Camp Half Moon is always a great experience. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things to do are truly plentiful here at Housatonic River Reservoir. Go for a hike on the Taconic Skyline Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and       hit Konkapot Brook. There are brilliant places to explore along the Wild Cat Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Farmington River - West Branch offers some great whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at The Red Lion Inn; you'll find a stunning lake called Laurel Lake. A great deal of rain falls at Housatonic River Reservoir; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is February. The top                  of Beartown Mountain is easily seen from Housatonic River Reservoir, and if you came to camp Maple Glade Campground is a wonderful site to do that. Near Housatonic River Reservoir you locate delightful locations like Burgoyne Pass, and tremendous skiing awaits you at Ski Butternut. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Housatonic River Reservoir while night lows are usually in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are commonly in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Housatonic River Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Greenock Country Club, and Bousquet has good slopes and a friendly staff. You clearly must love Housatonic River Reservoir.
