This is a great region for people who like lakes. Eldridge Pond is a lake nearby; you can spend the day on the beach at Harvard Town Beach. Lots of people from Worcester come to Horse Meadows Reservoir, and Horse Meadows Reservoir is great enough to spend more than a day at, Boston Minuteman Campground is a great local campground. Horse Meadows Reservoir is a relatively wet place ordinarily with a lot of       rain; November is the month that gets the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are fine; Elizabeth Brook Reservoir is a lake that's near Horse Meadows Reservoir; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Assabet River. This lake is so wonderful. Golf can be played at Butternut Farm Golf Club, and a pleasant location to camp here at Horse Meadows Reservoir is Crystal Springs                  Campground. At Horse Meadows Reservoir throughout the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's, and the nighttime is fairly chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Horse Meadows Reservoir dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. On a splendid day you can stop by Wolf Swamp, a swamp in the neighborhood of Horse Meadows Reservoir, and at Horse Meadows Dam near Horse Meadows Reservoir there are some exciting things to see.
