That right there is a heap already, but it keeps on going; Hogan Ponds has it all. A glorious nearby hotel is Days Inn Springfield/Chicopee, MA, and you can run the rapids of Connecticut River. Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Link Trail, and you'll probably meet some       folks from Springfield here. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Hogan Ponds you can take a hike along the County Road Trail; if you've had enough of Hogan Ponds, Bemis Pond Lower Reservoir is close by. If you need a site to stay Innplace Hotel Springfield is a good choice; since you're here you can play some golf at Chicopee Country Club. There's so much to do here at Hogan Ponds that you need to camp here for a while, Windy Acres Campground                  is a tremendous place for that, and a good spot for whitewater paddling is Farmington River. Hogan Ponds commonly gets a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest of the months is January. Blandford has good slopes and a friendly staff, and some of the water nearby flows, like Abbey Brook. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Sodom Mountain Campground is a fine place to do that, and Upper Bemis Pond Dam is a pretty spot. This is no spot for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. During the months of summer at Hogan Ponds temperatures are mostly in the 80's, and the nighttime is somewhat chillier of course, generally in the 50's.
