Hersey Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Comfort Inn Foxboro is a great place to get some rest; Cocasset Lake Pond Dam is a lovely place, certainly worth going to. Near Hersey Pond you hit upon a golf course called Foxborough Country Club, and you can never get enough of the good skiing at Blue Hills. This lake is so wonderful. Hersey Pond is not far at all from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River; swamps can be such interesting locations,

paddling spot close by; don't miss out on a journey to Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor since you're here. Hersey Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; through the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is July.
