For the period of the days of summer here at Head of Hummock, high temperatures usually reach the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Head of Hummock. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. The vista of delightful Long Hill near Head of Hummock is tremendous, and a journey to Johns Point       is always a great idea. Head of Hummock is a good location to camp, Campers Haven LTD. is a good location, and if you want to hit the beach, Cliff Beach is close by. Head of Hummock frequently gets a large amount of rain; the wettest month of the year is frequently November, that's the one that rains the most while July is ordinarily the driest month. There's a delightful forest near Head of Hummock called The Woods; a visit to Dionis Beach is always a                  nice idea. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Head of Hummock. Swamps like Burnt Swamp are fun to visit, and Jared Coffin House is a tremendous location to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Head of Hummock has to offer, you can camp at Grindell's Ocean View Park; lakes are such peaceful places, why not stop by Capaum Pond. Nantucket Cliffs is a fine site to go to while in the vicinity, and a great nearby hotel is The Beachside at Nantucket.   The Beachside at Nantucket, Nantucket 2 miles away Located on historic Nantucket Island, the Beachside is a short 5 minute walk to Jetties Beach and a leisurely 12 minute walk to Main Street.
