Why not stop by Hayes Pond if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is fine on Fall River; Berkshire Hills is clearly visible from Hayes Pond. The skiing at Ski Butternut is great, and you can go for a hike on the Wild Cat Trail.
Here at Hayes Pond there are plenty of people from Pittsfield; a lake nearby is Curtin Pond. Hayes Pond gets a lot of water; most of the rain falls during August; February on the other

| | hand is the driest. Summertime highs at Hayes Pond regularly tend to be in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's; all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Hayes Pond temperatures fall to the 10's.

shade of the Berkshire Hills, and if you came for an overnight stay Cold Spring Campground is a perfect location to camp. This is no location for people who don’t like to have a good time. Don't leave Hayes Pond without first going
for a hike along the Turner Trail; why not camp at Camp Overflow while you're here at Hayes Pond.
There's wonderful hiking along the Brickhouse Mountain Trail, and swamps don’t sound that pleasant but Angerman Swamp near Hayes
Pond is relatively pleasant. That right there is plenty already, but it carries on; Hayes Pond has it all. Farmington River - West Branch has a great whitewater paddling spot close by, and Becket Motel is a wonderful place to get
some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Catamount, and there's some attention-grabbing stuff to see at Hayes Pond Dam in the neighborhood of Hayes Pond.
