A visit to Hayden Pond is always a good idea. Paddling on Westfield River is so much fun; at Hayden Pond you can see Birch Hill. Elm Motel is a great place to get some rest, and there's always Dunlap Pond Dam to have a look at near Hayden Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Birch Meadow Brook is a fine local stream; hiking is a popular thing to do around Hayden Pond; Link Trail is a nice local trail.

| | to spend more than a day at, Laurel Ridge Camping Area is a tremendous local campground; the slopes of Otis Ridge are so inviting noone can resist. The high level of rain makes Hayden Pond a quite wet spot; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. A tremendous place to camp here at Hayden Pond is Prospect Mountain Campground, and float down the rapids of Little River in a kayak.

enough of Hayden Pond. Don't leave Hayden Pond without first going for a hike along the County Road Trail; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites WESTFIELD. Blandford is a delightful local ski area, and delightful
hiking is available along the Richard Trail.
During the warm days of summer here at Hayden Pond, high temperatures usually reach the 80's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Hayden Pond tend to be in the 10's.
