Nearby lakes? Sure, Horseshoe Pond is next to Hayden Pond. There's so much to do here at Hayden Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Overflow is a pleasant spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. You could also visit Mud Pond if you're here at Hayden Pond; it's close by; hey, Gotta ski       right? Blandford is a tremendous place to do that. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Hayden Pond; County Road Trail is a great local trail, and Pilgrim Inn is a brilliant location to get some rest. So much entertaining stuff near Hayden Pond, just tremendous. Take a little journey to Cone Brook if you're here at Hayden Pond. Having a brilliant time at Hayden Pond is easy. There's splendid hiking along the Wild Cat Trail; get your heart beating on the                  great whitewater of Fall River. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Richard Trail; Hayden Pond Dam is a beautiful site, certainly worth stopping at. Stay the night at Mountain View Campground, and you're sure to stumble upon some friendly folks from Pittsfield here. The slopes of Otis Ridge are so inviting nobody can resist, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Farmington River - West Branch. For the period of the summer months highs here at Hayden Pond reach the 80's while overnight lows are frequently in the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Hayden Pond.
